Summary:
The OPS Engineering Technician position will be responsible for supporting the transition of new products into manufacturing and sustaining activities for existing products. The position will complete assigned projects as required by design transfer and Production/Operations.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead, Develop, and Hold Accountable – 10%
Accountable to train other team members, less experienced engineers and production personnel on product lines to grow their capability and ensure quality of production process for the organization.
Sustaining Manufacturing and Production 75%
Accountable to support engineering and operations tasks to support product manufacturing and process quality requirements.
Continuous Improvement (Optimize and Innovate Culture)- 15%
Accountable to optimize and innovate through leadership influence, attention to detail, and functional group processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead, Develop, and Hold Accountable – 10%
- Assist in the assembly training Production assembler(s)
- Support Project Managers and Operations team to review process outputs and help improve project deliverables and metrics.
- Collaborate with team members on working across the organization to drive towards a common goal so the company meets its commitments, schedules, and profitability goals by project
Sustaining Manufacturing and Ops Production – 75%
- Support updates to manufacturing process documentation including routing through change control procedures
- Help develop processes and procedures while solving production related problems and document solutions for existing product lines
- Support the establishment and maintenance of equipment files; specifications, calibration, preventative maintenance
- Support Prospect ERP system which includes receiving inspection methods, lot history record creation, support equipment, labeling and warehousing
- Support execution of Process validation protocols and test reports
- Assist with incoming inspection, finish good inspections, and final product release for distribution
Continuous Improvement Culture- 15%
- Contribute to the Operations operating system to continuously improve associate development, data analysis, issue resolutions, core processes, and effective team meetings
- Responsible for obtaining feedback from production operators regarding process improvements.
- Support evaluation and solution development for process improvements through the IDS process.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Requirements: Associate of Science or related degree
- Preferred two years medical device manufacturing environment or manufacturing experience following cGMP
- Prefer experience working in an EN ISO 13485 compliant environment
Compensation Range:
- $45,000 – $84,000 per year (depending on experience)
