It’s an exciting time at PLS. In addition to several job openings for experienced engineers with medical manufacturing knowledge, our recently completed facility build-out nearly tripled Prospect’s production, manufacturing and cleanroom space. Construction of the new space was under way before the pandemic hit. Still, having 17,000 square feet of space makes it easy to comply with 6-foot distancing recommendations and provide a safe working environment. An extra special feature? The beautiful barn door was built by our talented VP of Quality Assurance, Karl Steineck.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Prospect Life Sciences (PLS) is now manufacturing N95 masks and two types of face shields. Orders for N95 masks and face shields can be placed online. “We are happy to be able to use our medical device manufacturing expertise for the greater good of the country and support the healthcare providers who need PPE most urgently,” said Karl Steineck, VP of Quality.

Kristina and Susan went to this year’s Medical Design & Manufacturing conference and trade show in Anaheim, CA and they are thrilled to bring back some cool ideas for new medical device implementation. Meeting with vendors and hands on interaction with some of the “latest and greatest” tools and gadgets were definitely highlights of the trip.
2020 is looking to be an amazing year at PLS. Having kicked it off with a new website, we’re also anticipating the first quarter launch of exciting new products from our clients, adding 8,000 square feet of manufacturing space, and growing our engineering, quality assurance, and production teams.
